RJD workers staged a sit-in outside the party office to implement the remaining recommendations of the Mandal Commission, to fill the vacant posts in the reserved category along with the caste-based census. Earlier, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav had raised the issue of caste census in the country and also met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in this regard.
