Kundli police station arrested Naveen Sandhu by registering an FIR on the complaint of laborer Manoj Paswan. Naveen Sandhu, a member of Baba Aman Singh’s Nihang Dal sitting on the Singhu border, beat up a laborer named Manoj Paswan on the Singhu border at 11 am on Friday. It is alleged that Manoj Paswan broke his leg in this beating. Manoj Paswan of Darbhanga district said that he has been working in Singh Poultry Farm at Kundli Border for 15-16 years and daily supplies chickens on his rickshaw to nearby villages. On Friday morning, when he was carrying chickens on a rickshaw, Nihang Naveen Sandhu asked him for the chicken. On her refusal, Naveen Sandhu beat her with a stick.
Aulakh’s claim: Naveen spilled nectar on crutches
Amidst all this controversy, farmer leader Jagdeep Aulakh has claimed that he knows Naveen Sandhu, who has been detained by the police. He is a resident of their neighboring village Gagsina. According to Aulakh, Naveen Sandhu has been associated with the farmers’ struggle since last year. He was involved in the farmers’ dharna given in Karnal in the past. He has also participated in the demonstration at Bastara toll. Most of the time he stays on the Singhu border. Yesterday on October 20 too, he had a conversation with Naveen at the Singhu border. Aulakh claimed that Naveen drank nectar only on the last crutch and that his hair was not complete as he became a Nihang for a short time. He speaks Haryanvi. Those who are calling him a fake Nihang are wrong. Aulakh said that Naveen Sandhu had a fight with a street vendor. Let no one spread this false propaganda. This is a matter of mutual quarrel. Don’t spread anything wrong about it. Aulakh said that Naveen Sandhu is in Kundli police station and he has spoken to the SHO of the police station.
