Punjab Covid News Updates: The Punjab government has imposed night curfew in municipal areas from 10 pm to 5 am with few exceptions, amid concerns over the third COVID wave after the outbreak of Omicron.

As per the circular, bars, cinema halls, malls, restaurants, spas will now operate at 50 per cent capacity, provided there is complete immunization of employees. Gyms will be closed.

Only fully immunized employees will be allowed to come to government and private offices.

The order further states that all educational institutions including schools, colleges, universities and coaching institutes will remain closed.

Restrictions will remain in force till January 15 in poll-bound Punjab.

In the last few days, the number of infected people is increasing in Punjab. It has recorded 6,05,922 COVID cases and 16,651 deaths so far.
