The Government Railway Police (GRP) in Darbhanga was probing the case following an FIR lodged after the June 17 blasts this year.
It is suspected that the blast was caused by some complex flammable chemical kept inside a 100 ml glass bottle, wrapped with adhesive tape and placed in several layers of clothing, parceled from Secunderabad. Telangana On June 15, two suspects named Mohammad Sufiyan had registered a case in Secunderabad.
The name of the parcel recipient in Darbhanga was also mentioned as Mohammad Sufiyan. The parcel exploded soon after it was dropped on the ground at platform number one of Darbhanga railway station on June 17.
Sources in the state police headquarters said the bottle was sent to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Kolkata on Wednesday after experts from the forensic laboratory in Muzaffarpur expressed their inability to ascertain which chemical was used in the blast. .
“They will analyze the molecular structure and find out the type of components placed in it. It is yet to be said whether temperature, pressure or tremors acted as the trigger for the blast,” said a senior IPS officer.
When contacted, ADG (Railways) Nirmal Kumar Azad said that the NIA will handle the case and no one was arrested. Bihar Till now. “Our team had gone to Hyderabad and Uttar Pradesh for investigation,” he said.

Sources in the state police headquarters said the GRP, along with the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Bihar, UP and Telangana police, was working together in the case and was in constant touch with the NIA and the police. intelligence bureau higher level.
Another senior IPS officer from Bihar said that the GRP in Telangana traced and questioned the taxi driver who had taken the two suspects to Secunderabad railway junction for parcel booking. “Several CCTV camera footage was scanned to find out from where the two suspects had started.
