82% of married women who are victims of sexual violence in the country are guilty of none other than their husbands. They have physical relations with her without the consent of the wife. This shocking fact has come to the fore in the latest report of the National Family Health Survey-5 (NFHS-5). 6% of married women in the country have faced sexual violence at some point in their life. According to the report, with increasing age, cases of sexual violence increase. For example, 4% of 18-19 years old, 5% of 20-24 years old, 6% of 25-29 years old and 7% of married women over 30 years of age are victims of sexual violence.

25% of women victims of sexual violence have some kind of scar on their body. 6% of married women have even endured excesses like deep wounds, breaking bones and teeth. Even 3% has been burnt.

Women who have both boys and girls suffer the most
According to the latest NFHS-5 report, 32.4% of women who have experienced sexual violence are those who have only sons. 31.2% have only daughters, 37.7% have both sons and daughters and 18.6% have no children. That is, women who have both boys and girls are suffering the most physical and sexual violence, while those who do not have children, they are the least. 9% of sexual violence victims are those who have never attended school. While 12th or more educated women are only 4%. That is, being educated also affects it.
