Shraddha Kapoor wins Best Actress Award at News18 Showsha Reel Awards.
Shraddha Kapoor has won the Best Actress (Female) for her performance in the film, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.
News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2024: Shraddha Kapoor has won the Best Actress (Popular Choice) for her performance in the film, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The awards were held on March 9 in Mumbai to celebrate the growing bond between the world of over-the-top (OTT) platforms and the Hindi film industry.
Besides Shraddha, other actresses who were competing in the category were Deepika Padukone (Pathaan), Alia Bhatt (Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani), Kiara Advani (Satyaprem Ki Katha), Janhvi Kapoor (Bawaal), Rashmika Mandanna (Animal) and Katrina Kaif (Tiger 3).
Released in March 2023, Luv Ranjan’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar starred Shraddha Kapoor in the lead with Ranbir Kapoor. Their chemistry in the film was widely loved by the audience. Shraddha left everyone swooning with her performance in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. Playing the role of Nisha, she brought the screen to life with her peppy avatar.
While Shraddha Kapoor won the Best Actress in the Popular Choice category, Ranbir Kapoor grabbed the Best Actor award in the same category. He was honoured for his performance in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial, Animal.
