New Zealand vs Netherlands 2022, 1st ODI live streaming details: How to watch online and on TV in India

New Zealand’s tour of the Netherlands consists of a three-match ODI series followed by a single T20I. Intermittent rain forced the only T20I of the bilateral series to be abandoned at McLean Park in Napier on Friday, March 24. The tour now moves on to a three-match ODI series, the first of which takes place at the Bay Oval in Mt. Maunganui on Tuesday 29 March. The second ODI on 2 April and the last on 4 April, both matches will be played at Seddon Park in Hamilton.

The upcoming ODI matches will be part of the World Cup Super League, where New Zealand and Netherlands are currently at the bottom of the points table, having played three and seven matches respectively so far.

The home team last played ODIs in March 2021, beating Bangladesh at home. Despite many stars unavailable for selection, the Black Caps boast a talented group led by Tom Latham.

However, it will be the last match for veteran Ross Taylor, who has been ruled out of international cricket after three ODIs. Meanwhile, two players earned their first call-up after a stellar home season – all-rounder Michael Bracewell and wicket-keeper batsman Dane Cleaver made their maiden national selections in the T20I squad.

On the other hand, the visitors, who started with two wins in the Super League at home against Ireland, had to curtail their campaign due to the Covid in South Africa.

The Dutch then suffered a setback in Qatar, where they lost all three matches against Afghanistan. The batting has been weak for the Peter Seelar-led side, with the top order struggling for runs. However, they will once again shine with the bat in the likes of Bass de Leed, Max O’Dowd, Vikramjit Singh and Seelar.

In the longer format, the visiting team’s only experience on New Zealand soil comes in the form of the 2014 qualifiers for the 2015 Cricket World Cup. During the competition the Dutch fell short of booking tickets to the proper tournament, winning one and losing one of the recognized ODI matches.
