Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn are gearing up for the release of their next film – Runway 34. While the film will hit the screens on April 29, both the megastars released a new poster of the film on social media on Saturday. The new poster features Ajay Devgn as Captain Vikrant Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan as Narayan Vedant. The poster also reads ‘When the savior becomes a criminal’. Both the actors also announced that another trailer of their film will be released on Monday, April 11.
“Inspired by true events, Captain Vikrant Khanna takes us on a turbulent journey with the lives of 150 passengers and crew. A bombardment ensues between the officers and him. Will he be declared a savior or a criminal? Watch #Runway34Trailer2OnApril11,” the caption read.
Soon after the poster was shared, many fans took to the comment section of Amitabh and Ajay’s posts to express their excitement for the film. “We are waiting eagerly,” wrote one fan.
Runway 34 is reportedly based on a 2015 Jet Airways Doha-Kochi flight, which narrowly escaped after experiencing difficulties due to unclear visibility. The film is directed and produced by Ajay Devgan. It is also co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Vikrant Sharma, Sandeep Harish Keolani, Tarlok Singh Jethi, Hasnain Hussaini and Jai Kanujia. Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, it also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Akanksha Singh and Angira Dhar in pivotal roles. Runway 34 is also the Bollywood debut of YouTuber CarryMinati.
Earlier, Ajay Devgn talked about casting Big B and revealed that he might not have made the film if Amitabh Bachchan had not agreed to his role. “I don’t even know if I will be able to cast (another actor) in this film, for the role of Mr. Bachchan, if he does not agree. I don’t think I will make the film,” Ajay was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
