Assembly elections are going to start in five states of the country from the coming February 10 and for this all the political parties have started their preparations. This time all the parties including BJP, Congress, SP, BSP are seen playing big bets on women leaders.

Priyanka Gandhi, who is heading the Congress party in Uttar Pradesh, has given the slogan of ‘Ladki hoon lad sakti hoon’ this time in the elections. At the same time, ruling party BJP has given tickets to 10% women leaders in its first list. 1 – Pankhuri Pathak – Congress Party

Of these, 50 women have been given tickets. In the 2022 assembly elections, Congress party has given ticket to Pankhuri Pathak from Noida assembly seat. Though the party is yet to release its list of candidates, Samajwadi Party spokesperson Richa has already been given the command of Prayagraj’s Urban West Assembly seat.

Richa, who was the student union president of Allahabad University, had come into the limelight when she stopped today’s Chief Minister and then BJP MP Yogi Adityanath from attending a program of the university. In the year 2021, before President Ram Nath Kovind’s visit to Allahabad, SP leader Richa was put under house arrest.

3 – Sadaf Zafar – Congress
Sadaf Zafar, who has been jailed for protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA-NRC) brought by the Central Government, has been fielded by the Congress party this time. Sadaf has got the ticket for Lucknow Central seat, capital of Uttar Pradesh from women quota.

4 – Pakshalika Singh – BJP
The Bharatiya Janata Party has given tickets to only 10 percent women in the first list of candidates released for the 2022 UP assembly elections. The party has fielded Rani Pakshalika Singh as its candidate from the Bah assembly seat.

Rani Pakshalika is one of the richest MLA of UP. She is the wife of Raja Aridaman Singh, a minister in the Samajwadi government. The family was earlier associated with SP but in 2017 they had joined BJP. It has been told in the affidavit filed in the Election Commission that he has movable and immovable assets of about Rs 58 crore.

5 – Razia Khan – BSP
Bahujan Samaj Party has played a new bet this time to garner Muslim vote bank. Although women leaders have got negligible tickets across the state, but Razia Khan has managed to make a place in it. She is contesting this time from the assembly seat of Aligarh city.
