Netanyahu trial: Hold judge chamber meetings in public to prevent rumors

Prosecutors urged the court that meetings in the judges’ chamber at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s corruption trial should be made public to prevent leaks and rumors that could harm the trial proceedings.

The request comes after a leaked report on Thursday about one such meeting claiming that the case 4000 bribery allegation is being scrapped and the court suggesting a plea bargain for the “good of the state” .

The prosecution also requested for expediting the trial by conducting the hearing during the July vacation period.
