Neetu Kapoor says that she has been asking her son Ranbir Kapoor to marry her for some time.
News18.com spoke exclusively to Neetu Kapoor, who said that she too has been hearing rumors about Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt’s wedding and refused to confirm or deny it.
Bollywood’s most awaited wedding is upon us as Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are reportedly all set to tie the knot in a few days from now. The festivities are expected to begin on April 13 and will last for three to four days with the big day on April 17. It is also said that RK Bungalow in Chembur has been chosen as the wedding venue.
While both the families have remained silent about the ceremony and there has been no confirmation, News18.com spoke exclusively to Neetu Kapoor, who said that she too is hearing about the wedding. “The rumours have been circulating for almost two years. We are having a lot of fun in the noisy talk about Ranbir’s wedding. Somebody is saying that it is happening on 15th April and some believe that it is on 17th April. Tell the astrologers a date. The date and place are constantly changing. It was reported that they were earlier getting married in Ranthambore then it shifted elsewhere and now it is RK Studio in Chembur, let’s see where it finally happens.
One of the strangest rumors she heard was when she attended a wedding in Hyderabad about six months ago. “I went for a wedding where the event management team gave me a letter that they got from Ranbir. The letter said that he was getting married in Hyderabad next month and they had started making all the plans. I laughed it off and told her that as a mother I don’t know about her marriage, but you must have sorted everything out.”
The Do Dooni Chaar actress says she has been asking her son to settle down for some time. “I really want Ranbir to get married. My advice to her is to get married today. He is mature and intelligent and he knows when and what to do in life, so I am sure he will make the right decision.”
Kapoor agrees that Ranbir and Alia are made for each other, “She is a very sweet and nice girl. He is kind and very pure soul. There is no negativity in her and she is not jealous of anyone. She respects everyone a lot and Ranbir is also a good hearted person. They both make a great pair.”
Neetu, who was shooting for Dance Deewane Junior, remembered her husband Rishi Kapoor and said that he always wanted to see his son’s wedding. “It was Rishiji’s wish to see our house being built which is going to be completed in the next six to seven months and the other thing he wanted was to see Ranbir get married. So if these two things are done then I will be happy that everything is done.”
