NEET UG 2022: NEET exam today, record 18.7 lakh candidates will appear

NEET UG 2022: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for all the registered candidates for graduation, NEET UG 2022 will be held today, July 17, 2022. National Testing Agency, NTA will conduct the NEET 2022 exam for around 18 lakh candidates across the country. More details are also available on the official websites – neet.nta.nic.in, nta.ac.in, NEET UG 2022 exam timing is 2 PM to 5:20 PM for all candidates and there is no other slot. While NEET exam is being conducted in 497 cities across the country, it is also being conducted in 14 cities outside India. The rules for NEET 2022 and the exam day guidelines are the same for students in and outside India.

While NEET 2022 is being conducted as per schedule, earlier, the country witnessed a wave of NEET UG postponement demands. From social media to courts, the demand for postponement of NEET 2022 exam was raised everywhere. However, the officials today decided to conduct the NEET UG exam as per the schedule.

NEET UG 2022: Important Instructions for Candidates

Candidates have to reach the examination center at the time indicated against the reporting/admission time at the center in the admit card. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination center after the gate is closed.

No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination center other than the date and time allotted in his/her admit card.

Candidates must bring NEET UG 2022 Admit Card along with one passport size photograph (uploaded on the application form affixed thereon) to be pasted at the specific place in the attendance sheet at the center during NEET (UG) – 2022 examination.

– Any one of the authorized photo ID (must be original and valid and such as PAN card / Driving license / Voter ID / Passport / Aadhar card / Ration card / Admit card with class 12 photograph / any other valid photo ID issued by the Govt. .

A post card size (4″X6″) color photograph with white background should be affixed on the proforma downloaded along with the admit card. The proforma containing post card size photograph will be handed over to the invigilator in the examination hall.

– As per the information bulletin of NEET (UG) 2022, candidates should not leave the room/hall without handing over their OMR sheet to the invigilator on duty.

NEET and 2022: Reporting Time

According to the agency, the candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination center after 1:30 pm. Seating will be allowed till 1:15 pm. All instructions will be given from 1:20 pm to 1:45 pm.

If the candidates are wearing traditional dress, they have to report at the allotted examination center by 12:30 PM on the day of examination.

NEET and 2022: Dress Code

– Slippers, sandals with low heels are allowed.

– Shoes are not allowed.

Lightweight clothing with long sleeves is not allowed. However, if the candidates come to the examination center in cultural/ customary attire, they should report at least one hour before the last reporting time i.e. 12.30 pm so as to maintain sanctity sufficient for proper search without any inconvenience to the candidate.
