NEET 2022 Expected on July 17, JEE Main 2022 Security Features Likely to be Added in Medical Entrance

National Testing Agency (NTA) Adding extra level of security to the entrance exam. While many changes have been made for engineering admission – JEE Main 2022 Which includes two-step verification, live image checking, etc., many of them are likely to be offered to medical admission aspirants as well.

As reported by News18.com, the medical admission was to be conducted by July, however, now it is likely that the exam will be held on July 17. If sources are to be believed, the notifications will be out today and the registration cum application forms will be out in the first week of April.

Once the candidates fill and submit the application form, a confirmation page is issued. After filling the application form, the confirmation page will also be made available on Digilocker from this year. This is similar to the facility provided for JEE Main. NTA is facilitating all the candidates with an additional platform of UMANG and DigiLocker to download their documents like confirmation page, admit card, score card etc.

In addition, candidates may need to download and install the Sands app on their phones as a secondary channel – other than SMS and e-mail – to receive notifications from the NTA. The agency will also send a copy of the confirmation page and final scorecard to the registered e-mail address of the candidates.

This time, for engineering admission registration, NTA added an additional layer of authentication during the application process to ensure that the students applying are genuine candidates, who can be traced back. From this year onwards, when candidates register, they will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number, which they need to enter before filling the form. Further, before depositing the fee, they have to enter another OTP received on their registered e-mail address. A similar facility is likely to be followed for NEET 2022 as well.

NEET 2022: No upper age limit

One of the biggest changes for NEET aspirants this year is the removal of the upper age limit. Earlier, the upper age limit to apply to become a doctor was 25 years for unreserved category, and for reserved category – SC, ST, OBC-NCL and PWBD students, it was further relaxed by five years, i.e., 30 years Now anyone can become a doctor at any age. Students can also give second attempt in NEET.
