NEET 2021 results will be out soon. Know everything about answer key, counseling and cut off

NEET 2021 Result, Counseling Updates: National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the result of National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2021. NEET 2021 exam was conducted on 12 September in centre-based pen and paper mode. NEET 2021 result along with merit list and all India cut-off marks will be declared on October 13 after completion of NEET Phase 2 registration. For admission to undergraduate (UG) medicine and allied programs in the country, the NEET cut-off is the final rank for which admission will be offered in medical institutions.

NEET OMR response sheet and scorecard will be sent by mail
After closing the NEET Phase 2 registration and correction window, NTA will also send the NEET OMR response sheet and scorecard through email to the candidates. “Candidates are advised to check, cross-check and verify their registered e-mail ID and ensure that they have entered their e-mail address, as NTA will send OMR answer sheet and scorecard to the registered email only. Will send the scanned copy,” the NTA said.

NEET 2021 tie-breaking process
The NEET UG paper consisted of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology). There were 45 multiple choice questions in each subject. There will be negative marking of one mark for wrong answers. In the entrance exam of NEET 2021, if two or more candidates obtain equal marks, the agency will follow a tie-breaking methodology to break the deadlock.

  • Candidates securing higher marks/percentage marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the test
  • Candidates who have secured higher marks/percentage marks in Chemistry in the examination.
  • Candidates with lesser ratio of number of wrong answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the examination

NEET 2021 counseling process
After the declaration of NEET 2021 result, NTA will also release and share state-wise NEET merit list with the concerned authorities for conducting NEET counseling for 85 percent medical and dental seats. Candidates will be able to register for NEET counseling for 15% All-India Quota (AIQ) seats and 85% for state-quota seats.
