Nearly 300 kg heroin seized in Mumbai; 2 arrested
Mumbai’s Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) on Monday said it has seized 293.81 kg of heroin. The directorate said it was found hidden in two containers filled with semi-processed talc stones imported by a Punjab-based firm from Afghanistan.
Prabhjit Singh, the owner of the firm that imported the consignment, was arrested by the DRI of Amritsar regional unit on July 1.
Two of Singh’s associates were also arrested by DRI Indore zonal unit officials from Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh and are being brought on Mumbai transit remand from Indore.
