Addressing the NDA meeting, the PM taunted the opposition’s India and said that alliances formed on the basis of negativity have never been successful in the country. While the Congress used alliances to destabilize the government, the BJP-led NDA always unites the people of the country and works to strengthen the country.
He said that the NDA has recently completed 25 years – it is time to accelerate the country’s progress and fulfill regional aspirations.

But in his opening remarks at the meeting, he said that the Congress was not interested in power or the prime minister’s post.

Trinamool Congress (TMC) president and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while addressing reporters in Bengaluru, challenged the BJP and asked if the saffron party would fight with ‘Bharat’.
“It (opposition meeting) was constructive and fruitful and the real challenge begins today. The only work of governance at the Center today is to buy and sell governments. I want to ask BJP and NDA, can they challenge India. India will win, our country will win and the BJP will lose,” he said. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that the fight for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections is between the NDA and India.
