TDP MP K Rammohan Naidu, the Civil Aviation Minister, has been included in both, the all-important Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs and the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs

Allies of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) got prominent positions in the new Cabinet Committees notified by the ‘Modi 3.0’ government.

TDP MP K Rammohan Naidu, the Civil Aviation Minister, has been included in both, the all-important Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs and the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs.

JD(U) MP Rajiv Ranjan alias Lalan Singh has been included in the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs as well as the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA).  JD(S) MP HD Kumaraswamy is appointed as a member of CCEA as well.

Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) MP Jitan Ram Manjhi has been made a member of the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs while Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP Chirag Paswan is included in the Cabinet Committee on Investment and Growth.

RLD MP Jayant Chaudhary will be a special invitee to the Cabinet Committee on Skill, Employment and Livelihood. The name of this particular committee has been amended to now include the word ‘livelihood’ by the new government.

In other major inclusions, new BJP Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been included in the CCEA while CR Patil, Jual Oram and Kiren Rijiju are now part of the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs.

Manohar Khattar has been included in the Cabinet Committee on Accommodation. Health Minister and BJP President JP Nadda will be part of two committees – Political Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs.

Union Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari will continue to be a member of all Cabinet Committees that he was a part of in the earlier government and has now been made a permanent member of the Cabinet Committee on Skill, Employment and Livelihood, to which he was a special invitee earlier.

Mansukh Mandaviya will be a part of the same committee this time instead of the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs in the last government.

Prahlad Joshi will also be a part of the Cabinet Committee on Investment and Growth this time instead of the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs in the last government. Hardeep Singh Puri has also been included as a member of the Cabinet Committee on Investment and Growth. G Kishan Reddy has been made part of the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs this time along with Annapurna Devi and Kiren Rijiju.

Giriraj Singh has been moved from the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs to the Cabinet Committee on Investment and Growth this time.
