Actress Sushma Nair has announced that she will play the character of Neela in the television drama Andrendrum Punnagai to be aired on Zee Tamil. She will replace actress Srinidhi who recently left the show. Sushma, known for her roles in shows like Nayagi and Sumangali, has said she is “excited” to do this new role in Andrendrum Punnagai. He has sought blessings and support from his fans in his new endeavor.
Sushma Nair has shared details about her new role in an Instagram post. “Need all your blessings and support, just like you have done with all my projects so far,” he said in his post.
She has informed her fans that she will be playing the character of Neela in the serial Andrendrum Punnagai. “You’ll get to see the best of me,” she said. Neela is the first younger sister of the main character RJ Thendral in the serial. Neela falls in love with Akash, a young businessman in the show.
Sushma also appreciated Srinidhi who left the show recently. The makers did not comment on the reasons for Srinidhi leaving the show midway.
“Srinidhi you are sorely missed by the EEP family. Though we never met in person, I am glad to know your presence,” said Sushma.
Sushma Nair was last seen in a pivotal role in the popular television serial Thirumagal. She became a household name among Tamil audiences after playing the role of Pregati in the serial.
Andrendrum Punnagai is being produced by actress Neelima Rani’s Esai Pictures. This serial is successfully airing from March 2020. The English meaning of the serial title is Evergreen Smile. The serial has crossed the 400 episode mark and is also available on Zee5.
