Mumbai: Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik on Sunday alleged that Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede was part of a conspiracy to “kidnap” actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan for ransom.
Talking to reporters here, Malik claimed that former Mumbai BJP youth wing president Mohit is the ‘mastermind’ of the Indian conspiracy.
Aryan Khan was arrested last month after a raid on a cruise ship led by Wankhede from where drugs were allegedly seized. He was later granted bail by the Bombay High Court.
Malik has repeatedly termed the cruise drugs raids as “fake” and made several allegations against Wankhede. The minister claimed on Sunday that Wankhede had met the Indian at a ‘graveyard’ in suburban Oshiwara.
Malik said, “But, due to his (Wankhede’s) luck, we could not get the footage as the police CCTV was not working. So out of fear, Wankhede had filed a false complaint that he was being chased. “
The NCP leader alleged, “The alleged cruise rave party was a conspiracy to kidnap Aryan Khan for ransom, whose mastermind was Mohit Bhartiya.”
Accusing Wankhede of being involved in the conspiracy, he claimed that the Indian was a member of Wankhede’s “private army”. Malik also claimed that journalist RK Bajaj and advocate Pradeep Nambiar were members of Wankhede’s “private army”.
The minister appealed to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan to come forward and support his fight against injustice.
He accused Wankhede of creating fear among drug users while protecting smugglers and smugglers. He claimed that the trap of kidnapping Aryan Khan was laid through Indian’s brother-in-law Rishabh Sachdeva.

If your child is kidnapped and ransom is demanded and the parents paid, then he is the victim, not the accused,” Malik said.
Aryan Khan was taken to the cruise party by Prateek Gabba and Aamir Furniturewala, who claimed that Sachdeva, Gabba and Furniturewala were dumped by NCB.
“The organizer of the cruise party, Kashif Khan, had tried hard to invite the state minister Aslam Shaikh and the children of our top ministers to come to the party,” he claimed.
“Except for Aryan Khan and Sameer Khan (Malik’s son-in-law), all 26 cases (being probed by NCB) should be given to the SIT for investigation. If there is an attempt to intimidate me by putting my son- In-laws for re-examination, let me make it clear that I am not scared,” the minister said.
Malik’s son-in-law was arrested by the NCB in January this year in an alleged drugs case and was granted bail in September.
The minister also posted an NCB notice on his Twitter handle for the issuance of Sanville Stanley D’Souza under the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act on June 23 this year, directing him to be present at the agency’s office. .
Malik claimed that this is the real name of Sam D’Souza, whose name had cropped up in connection with allegations of payment in the cruise drugs case, and released an alleged telephone conversation between D’Souza and NCB officer VV Singh.
He said VV Singh had called D’Souza for questioning in June this year and had also warned against changing his phone handset later.
“Why hasn’t he (D’Souza) been arrested yet?” Malik asked without disclosing the details of the case.
The Indian on Saturday alleged that one Sunil Patil from Dhule, who is “closely associated with NCP leaders including former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh”, is the mastermind of the cruise drug bust episode.
However, Malik on Sunday claimed that Sunil Patil did not belong to the NCP and he had never met them.
He also said that the NCB had challenged the Gujarat government’s forensic lab report in which his son-in-law was given a clean chit in the NDPS court in the alleged drugs case. Malik appealed to the NCB and the BJP not to “protect” the tainted people.
“My fight is not against NCB or BJP. It is against those involved in wrongdoing. Please support me. I am also supporting eradication of menace of drugs,” he said.
Malik also demanded that action be taken against the NCB’s “quartet” – Wankhede, VV Singh, Ashish Ranjan and Wankhede driver Mane – who they claim were involved in “wrongdoings” at the NCB’s regional office.
Meanwhile, the Indian said that he never mentioned that he is the leader of the BJP. Speaking to reporters, he said that Malik did not respond to how Chinku Pathan, an aide of fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, met with the then state home minister Anil Deshmukh.
“Chinku Pathan is a close aide of Dawood Ibrahim… what was he doing at Sahyadri Guest House on January 20, 2020?” They said.
The Indian also said that it was only after their press conference that Malik admitted that he had received a call from Sunil Patil. “He (Malik) was silent on that,” he said.
He further said that Malik himself has admitted that a cabinet minister was also invited to the cruise party.
“(Minister) Aslam Shaikh has to clarify… why and how can a person reach out to the sons and daughters of ministers and ministers?” They said.
