The fifth day of Navratri i.e. Panchami Tithi will fall on October 10. Maa Skandmata, the fifth form of Maa Durga, is worshiped on this day. This name was given to Mata Parvati when she gave birth to Lord Skanda, also known as Kartikeya. Mother Skandamata carries Murugan or Skanda in her lap. He has four hands. She holds lotus flowers in her upper two hands, Murugan in one of her right hands and the other in Abhaya Mudra.

Panchami Tithi will start on 10th October at 04:55 am and will end on 11th October at 02:14 am. Maa Skandmata Puja can be done between 11:45 am to 12:31 pm. Ravi Yoga is also one of the most auspicious time for the worship of Mother Skandmata. It will be from 02:44 PM to 07:54 PM.
