The second day of Navratri i.e. Dwitiya is dedicated to the second form of Nava Durga – Goddess Brahmacharini. She is believed to be the unmarried form of Mata Parvati, when she did severe penance or penance for thousands of years to get Lord Shiva as her husband. The name Brahmacharini is given because of her rigorous penance and rigorous penance. He is a symbol of love and loyalty. She is also known as ‘Uma’, ‘Aparna’ and ‘Tapcharini’.

On the first day of Navratri, Modi wished people that the festival brings strength, good health and prosperity in everyone’s life. He tweeted: “Happy Navratri to all. The coming days are going to dedicate themselves to the worship of Jagat Janani Maa. May Navratri bring strength, good health and prosperity in everyone’s life.”
He also invoked Goddess Shailputri, which means daughter of mountains and one of the nine forms of Durga, who is worshiped on the first day of Navratri. The Prime Minister also shared a video and tweeted: “It is the first day of Navratri and we pray to Maa Shailputri. Here is a praise dedicated to him.”
Dwitiya Tithi will start at 01:46 PM on 7th October and will continue till 10:48 AM on 8th October. The auspicious time to worship Maa Brahmacharini will be from 11:45 am to 12:32 pm and 02:05 pm. Till 02:52 pm.
