Navi Mumbai: The city on Wednesday reported three more cases of the Omicron variant of Covid-19.
The number of people affected by Omicron in the city has now gone up to four.
The three fresh Omicron patients reside in Belapur, Ghansoli and Nerul nodes and they had returned from the United Kingdom, Nigeria and South Africa respectively a fortnight ago.
Meanwhile, their residential buildings have been sealed.
“We have detected three more Omicron cases in the civilian area on Wednesday, taking the number to four,” an NMMC official said.
One of them is a 17-year-old boy from Belapur node, who had returned from the United Kingdom on December 14. His genome sequencing report came out today. He was admitted to the Cidco Exhibition Center Kovid Care Unit.
“She is asymptomatic and completely stable,” said a medical officer.
