Telangana Health Minister T Harish Rao said in a tweet on Wednesday night that the approval process for Nirmal, Karimnagar and Sircilla Medical Colleges has reached the final stage.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has given permission to six government medical colleges to start classes from the academic year 2023-24.

“Glad to inform that out of 9 medical colleges to be started this year, 6 medical colleges have already got permission, ie, Jangaon, Asifabad, Kamareddy, Khammam, Vikarabad, Bhoopalpally. The approval process for Nirmal, Karimnagar and Sircilla Medical Colleges has reached the final stage.

The minister further said that the Telangana government is moving fast towards setting up one medical college per district in the direction of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s vision of “Aarogya Telangana”.
