NATHEALTH picks a new team at the top

Wipro GE Healthcare chief Shravan Subramaniam is the new chairman of NATHealth. An apex body representing various segments of the healthcare industry in India.

He will succeed Harsh Mahajan, Founder and Chief Radiologist, Mahajan Imaging. NATHEALTH’s newly elected leadership team includes Ashutosh Raghuvanshi as Senior Vice President. He is the Managing Director and CEO of Fortis Healthcare. Amira Shah is also the MD, Vice President – NATHEALTH Metropolis India.

In a statement after the appointment, Subramaniam said, “Covid-19 taught us the value of not only rethinking healthcare but rebuilding its infrastructure. We know this is not our first pandemic and not the last. To be future ready, the ‘new normal’ will rest on a foundation of innovation, digitization and collaboration. We have to break out of the four walls of the healthcare delivery system and work towards making healthcare accessible to all by using technological innovations.”

He said that strengthening the existing health infrastructure, bridging the skill gap of health workers, restructuring health care funding and accelerating innovations through collaboration and knowledge sharing and skill sharing are some of the important areas that need to be improved upon. Tomorrow should be given importance.
