On Sunday, June 18, all-rounder Hardik Pandya returned to the international circuit as India locked horns with Sri Lanka in the first One Day International (ODI) of the three-match series. Hardik was gentle during the game as the cricketer was seen moving his hand.
However, the all-rounder missed out on the presence of his teammate Natasa Stankovic and son Agastya Pandya in the stands. Natasa, who had accompanied Hardik on cricket tours in the past, opted to accompany the cricketer for the Sri Lanka tour. Instead the actress moved with her son to Serbia to meet his parents and family.
Though Natasa was not present with Hardik, the Bollywood diva cheered for her husband and watched the match live with Agastya. Natasa shared some heart-wrenching Instagram stories where she and Agastya got a live telecast of the match courtesy Krunal Pandya’s wife Pankhuri Sharma.
Since the Sri Linka vs India series was not telecast in Serbia, Pankhuri helped Natasa watch the game via video call from India. In a clip shared by Natasa, the actress was seen asking Agastya to say Dada while pointing at Hardik on the screen. Agastya initially looked disinterested in watching the match being played on the iPad as he was playing with a book in his hand.
However, the child eventually acceded to his mother’s request as he called Dada on seeing Hardik, who was preparing to bowl against Sri Lanka. While posting short videos, Natasa thanks Pankhuri for giving live telecast of the game.
Hardik did not get a chance to bat during the first One Day International as India easily chased down Shikhar Dhawan’s target of 263 runs with 86 runs. The 27-year-old contributed with the ball as he bowled five overs for 34, taking a lone wicket in the form of Isuru Udana.
