Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi on Monday on a two-day visit and inaugurated the first phase of Kashi Vishwanath Dham built at a cost of around Rs 339 crore.
On the first day of the visit, the PM launched the first phase of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, which connects two iconic sites of Varanasi – the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Ganga Ghats. He also took a dip in the river Ganges and offered prayers at the Kaal Bhairav temple.
On Tuesday, the second and last day of his visit, PM Modi will attend a conference of chief ministers of BJP-ruled states – Gujarat, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka. Manipur, Tripura and Uttarakhand. Nine deputy chief ministers of the party are also expected to participate to deliberate on a wider range of subjects.
The PM is expected to hold a seminar on the topic of “Good Governance” with all these CMs and Deputy CMs, where they are expected to suggest ways to promote COVID-19 vaccination along with development and fight against coronavirus. She goes.
On Monday, CMs and Deputy CMs of BJP-ruled states also attended the inauguration ceremony of Kashi Vishwanath Dham. The leaders also went on a tour of the Ganges with the PM and performed Ganga Aarti in the evening.
The Prime Minister will attend the 98th anniversary celebrations of Sadhguru Sadafaldev Vihangam Yoga Sansthan at Swarveda Mahamandir in the city at 3.30 pm on Tuesday.
He could also visit Swarved Mahamandir Dham, a major center of Vihangam Yoga and Meditation in Varanasi. He will return to Delhi in the evening.
This is expected to be the prime minister’s last official visit to Uttar Pradesh to unveil projects before the model code of conduct comes into force in the poll-bound state.
