Guwahati: Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma Attack on opposition on Thursday Congress And the Left parties allegedly conspired to impose the Prime Minister Narendra Modi In difficulties during the second wave of Covid-19.
Addressing the Assam BJP executive committee meeting in Amingaon area here, Sarma said other political parties supported the government in the twin calamities of floods and pandemic.

“We have to move forward in the fight for civilization and culture. In this Assam we have to establish Indianness and the rights of different tribes and communities. I have no doubt that we have set out for a certain goal and till we reach it. That, the tireless work will go on. We don’t have time to care about what others say.”
Sarma said the BJP had won the last assembly elections on the issues of civilisation, culture and the fight for development.
“After forming the government, we are working against drug cartels and cow (smuggling) syndicate. Somebody asked me why the encounter is happening? Answer will come later, but first answer me why drugs in Shankardev’s land are found?” he said.
Srimanta Sankardeva is a 15th century cultural and religious icon of the state.
At least 26 suspected terrorists and criminals were killed in police encounters in the state since May after they allegedly snatched service weapons or attempted to escape from custody, while 43 accused along with some policemen were injured.
