Tollywood star Nandamuri Balakrishna is celebrating his 62nd birthday today. This year’s birthday is very special for the actor who became the successful flag bearer of his father’s legacy, the legendary actor and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister NT Rama Rao.
Popularly known as Balayya, in a career spanning over four decades, Balakrishna has established himself as one of the most bankable stars of Tollywood. Balakrishna started his career at the age of 14 as a child artist in the film Tatamma Kala, which was released in 1974. Balakrishna has delivered several blockbuster hits over the years and is known for his remarkable dialogue delivery.
Balaiah’s latest film Akhand, which released on December 2 last year, recently completed 175 days in a theater in Andhra Pradesh. The film has successfully ran for more than 100 days in several theaters across the state.
After an illustrious career in films, Balakrishna has become the proud host of a successful chat show on the OTT platform. The iconic actor made his OTT debut with his talk show Unstoppable with NBK on the Telugu digital streaming platform Aaha on November 4, 2021, on the occasion of Diwali.
As per reports, the chat show is running successfully and it has helped Aha garner massive viewership over the past few months. Hence Balaiya fans believe that this birthday is special for their favorite actor.
The Manchu family appeared as guests in the first episode of the show. The episode featured Manchu Mohan Babu along with his children Lakshmi Manchu and MAA President Vishnu Manchu.
Many videos of the show are still on the internet. In one of the episodes, Balakrishna and Mohan Babu were seen talking about various topics like films, current politics and other celebrities of their generation. Lakshmi Manchu and Vishnu Manchu made a special appearance in the show. The show revealed many details about celebrities and the Telugu film industry, which helped the show become popular.
On the work front, the actor is now busy with director Gopichand Malineni with his tentative title NBK 107, which is bankrolled by Maithri Movie Makers. Balaiya also has an untitled project in the pipeline with filmmaker Anil Ravipudi.
