In a recent interview, South cinema superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna described Alia Bhatt, Prabhasand director SS Rajamouli in a single word. Nagarjuna will next be seen in the upcoming 2022 multi-starrer, Brahmastra. Asked to share his thoughts on actors Alia and Prabhas, Nagarjuna called the actress a “cracker” and the South star a “warrior”.
In a funny conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Nagarjuna spoke about Alia and said that she is “like a firecracker.” The actor also described the box office breaker, Baahubali director Rajamouli. In further conversation, when asked about any similarities between Alia and her father Mahesh Bhatt, the actor said, “They say their mind.” Furthermore, Nagarjuna called the Big B of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan, the “Icon of India”. The actor appeared in the interview with his son, Naga Chaitanya. The father-son duo was recently seen together in Bangaraju, directed by Kalyan Krishna.
The interview revealed that superstar Ayan Mukerji was skeptical about appearing in the directorial Brahmastra. However, what inspired him to be a part of this project was the passion with which it was being crafted. His doubts were cleared as soon as he saw the whole script. “I was a little apprehensive about doing it in the beginning. But then Ayan came home, and he presented me the entire script,” he said. Nagarjuna claimed that the script was “amazing” and “brilliant”.
The actor added, “By then, he had shot a little bit of it. He showed me all of that. And I immediately said ‘yes’. After that I didn’t hesitate either. It’s a very important cameo. I also Wouldn’t say it’s a cameo. It’s a very important character.”
The makers of Brahmastra have finally announced the release date. The film will hit the theaters on September 9. Apart from Nagarjuna, the film also stars Amitabh, Alia and Ranbir Kapoor.
