Nadella: Digital Tech Is A Powerful Deflationary Force: Nadella | Bengaluru News – Times of India

Bengaluru: Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that digital Technology is a powerful deflationary force in an inflationary economy as it brings about a huge increase in productivity. “Basically, we are moving from a mobile and cloud era to an era of ubiquitous computing and ambient intelligence, an era that will experience more digitization in the next 40 years than in the past 10 years,” he said at Microsoft’s lead platform Future. said in Ready Held on Tuesday.
Nadella said a digital business requires the firm to have the best multi-cloud multi-edge infrastructure. “Going forward, every organization will need a more distributed, more intelligent, more autonomous computing fabric that they can use to rapidly build, manage and deploy applications anywhere. And they will need new tools. which can bring together both professional developers and domain experts,” he said.
Computing, he said, is becoming distributed and embedded in the real world. “The percentage of industrial control systems that will include on-the-edge analytics and AI estimation capabilities will increase six-fold over the next four years,” he said.
Nadella talked about the Metaverse and how Microsoft is describing it as a new platform and a new application type, just as he talked about the web and websites in the early 1990s. “At Microsoft Cloud, from Azure IoT to Azure Digital Twins to Connected Spaces and Microsoft Mesh, we are building the Metaverse intrinsic, the Metaverse platform for you to build on. In a sense, the Metaverse enables us to embed computing. To embed the real world and the real world in computing, to bring a real presence to any digital space,” he said.
Nadella also shared his thoughts on the new world of hybrid work. “We are witnessing a shift in how we work, when we work and where we work. More and more people are asking the same fundamental question as to why we work. This leads to two challenges. Takes what we call the hybrid paradox and the great shuffle. 70% of employees want more flexible remote work options, and about the same number say they want more in-person connections. 58 percent of people who work in the office expect to spend the most and least amount of time, telling us they plan to do so for the same reason, more focused work,” he said.
Anant Maheshwari, President, Microsoft India said that the digitally native customer is a trendline that will reshape all industries. It is estimated that India’s consumer digital economy which was pegged at $85-90 billion in calendar year 2020 is now expected to grow 10 times to become a $800 billion market by 2030. ”
Maheshwari said that India’s unique strength is its large developer population. “Every company is digital and it is powered by the software created by this ecosystem… now increasingly adding to it are low-code/no-code platforms that are democratizing digital asset creation. India’s large young population With the power of technology, which is seamlessly connected and mobile, India can enhance the creation of digital assets without knowing how the software is coded,” he said.
