Nadda denies leadership crisis in Karnataka, says Yeddyurappa has done a good job

BJP president JP Nadda on Sunday denied any “leadership crisis” in Karnataka and lauded Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa’s work. Nadda’s reaction assumes significance as the Karnataka CM said he will take an appropriate decision, with regard to his continuation in the post, when he receives instructions from the BJP high command this evening.

“Yeddyurappa has done a good job. Karnataka is doing well. Yeddyurappa is taking care of things in his own way,” Nadda said.

Asked if there is a leadership crisis in the southern state, he said, “You feel so. We don’t think so.”

Yediyurappa had earlier said in response to a question in Belagavi, “After evening comes, you will also come to know about it, once it comes, I will take an appropriate decision.” Today.

Hinting that Monday may be his last day in office, Yediyurappa had recently said that he would “do his job” from July 26 based on the instructions given by the central leader on July 25.

His government will complete its two years on July 26.

Yediyurappa, who started his political career as Purasabha Speaker in Shikaripura, was first elected to the Legislative Assembly from Shikaripura in 1983 and won eight times from there.

The Chief Minister’s elder son BY Raghavendra is an MP from Shivamogga Lok Sabha constituency.
