Mysore: Man drowns pregnant wife to death, pushes children too Mysuru News – Times of India

Mysore: Nanjangud The city police on Tuesday arrested a man for allegedly drowning his pregnant wife and then attempting to kill their two children near the Srikantheshwaraswamy temple bathing ghat in the town.
The accused has been identified as 40-year-old Rajesh village of Muddahalli in the taluk.
The fishermen saw the man trying to drown his children Mallesha, 4, and Moulya, 2 Kapila River and saved them. They could not save Rajesh’s wife Devika, 35.
According to the police, the man brought Devika and the children to the bathing ghat on the pretext of offering prayers at a temple around 7.30 pm. He first drowned Devika in the river.
Devaki’s father puttasiddaih Registered a complaint, after which the police arrested Rajesh. Police said marital discord was behind the crime.
