‘My Road to Recovery Has Begun’: India’s Batting Star Successfully Performs Surgery in Germany

India’s star batsman KL Rahul has had a successful surgery for a sports hernia in Germany and it will take at least a few months for him to fully recover before he starts playing again. Rahul was ruled out of the recently concluded home T20I series against South Africa due to fitness issues and was set to captain India.

The 30-year-old has been troubled by lower abdominal concerns, including groin strains and hamstring injuries. The India top-order batsman on Wednesday shared a post on Twitter confirming his successful surgery and said he is doing well.

While there is no confirmation that Rahul is expected to make a full recovery, he is expected to be out for at least two months.
