Kapil Sharma and Guru Randhawa’s friendship has grown over the years as they both worked hard to establish themselves in the entertainment industry. The two never miss an opportunity to celebrate each other’s achievements and special occasions. On August 30, Kapil made sure to send his birthday wishes to Guru Randhawa as the Lahore singer turned a year older. Kapil took to his Instagram Stories to share a selfie with Guru, captured during a flight.

In his Instagram entry, the comedian added Guru Randhawa’s track Tere Vich Rab Disda in the background. “Happy birthday my brother from another mother. Guru Randhawa khush raho,” the comedian wrote along with the photo.

Despite gaining popularity, the two stars have teamed up on screen just twice. One was when Guru Randhawa made an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show. In early 2023, Kapil Sharma released his first single, Alone, composed, written and co-sung by Guru Randhawa.

During the time, Kapil mentioned in an interview with Rolling Stones India that his song connects with many people because most of us have experienced heartbreak. When the teaser for the song was released, Kapil revealed that his singing skills caught the attention of many in the industry, as he was offered more music projects. He said, “A lot of people sent me scratch versions of their songs, so I’m currently listening to those songs and hoping to go ahead with a few.” Although Kapil usually prefers melodious songs, he also hinted that he might surprise his fans with a more energetic track in the future.

After working with Kapil Sharma, Guru Randhawa said he wishes to “sing for Shah Rukh, Salman sir and Amitabh Bachchan.”

On his birthday, Guru Randhawa dropped his latest track Addicted. Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma recently announced the second season of his hit Netflix series, The Great Indian Kapil Show. After appearing in Crew, alongside, Kriti Sanon, Kareena Kapoor and Tabu, Kapil is set to appear in the sequel of his debut movie, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon.
