MVA government will continue and will come to power in Delhi too: Aditya

New Delhi: As the political turmoil continues over the Maharashtra government, Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray on Monday (June 27, 2022) said that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government will not fall. Speaking to reporters, the Maharashtra minister said, “We are confident of victory. We all have love for us. Those who betray do not win. Those who run away do not win.”

In a blow to the Uddhav Thackeray camp, Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant joined the rebels of the party led by Eknath Shinde in Guwahati. Aaditya Thackeray also tried to demean Maharashtra minister Uday Samant, who joined the Eknath Shinde-led rebel faction, saying “it is his decision”. Aaditya Thackeray said, “It is his decision. But he will come before us someday, he will have to look us in the eye someday. Let’s see.”

Also, Aaditya Thackeray said that he is aware of his strength and anger. Aaditya said that when the chief minister was hospitalised, the rebel MLAs “sold themselves”.

“I can understand your enthusiasm and strength, even your anger. I have been meeting and interacting with Shiv Sainiks and I can see that they are very angry. But one positive thing is this It is that the filth has gone out of Shiv Sena,” the Maharashtra minister said.

“When the CM was hospitalised, he (rebel MLA) sold himself. I want to ask him, is there no humanity left? We trusted them,” Aditya Thackeray told Shiv Sainiks at Byculla in Mumbai.

Both the Shiv Sena and the rebel group are trying to outdo each other. While the Thackeray group removed Shinde from the post of legislature party leader and appointed a new chief whip, Shinde’s supporters wrote to the state governor that he remained the leader of the Shiv Sena legislature group. He also appointed a Chief Whip.

The fight between the groups has now reached the Supreme Court, which on Monday granted interim relief to Shinde and other MLAs to file their replies to the disqualification notices issued by the deputy speaker of the Maharashtra Assembly on July 12, by 5.30 pm.
