Patna : An 18 year old son of Muzaffarpur City SP Rajesh Kumar died in an accident on NH-22 of Vaishali district at around 3 am on Thursday, while his friend was seriously injured.
The deceased Rajveer Shekhar was preparing for engineering entrance examination in Kota, Rajasthan. Muzaffarpur DSP (City) Ram Naresh Paswan told that the accident happened near Daulatpur-Deoria village. Hajipur Sadar police station when he was on his way Muzaffarpur From his Patna City residence, he lost control of the car after a vehicle suddenly appeared on the road. The car fell on the roadside field filled with water. Rajveer died on the spot.
The injured Angad Kumar told the police that the car was being driven by Rajveer. The local people admitted him to the Sadar Hospital in Hajipur for treatment.
Hajipur Sadar SDPO Raghav Dayal He said that most of the police personnel were deployed at Chhath Ghat when some local residents informed about the accident at Sadar police station. He told reporters in Hajipur that by the time he was pulled out of the car, Rajveer was dead.
Later Rajesh went to the spot and inquired about the accident.
Sources close to the family said that Rajveer was Rajesh’s only son. The police seized the car and later recorded the statement of the injured.
Meanwhile, a Sita Devi (60) died of cardiac arrest. Bagaha Chhath Ghats in West Champaran District. She had gone to the ghat to offer arghya to the rising sun.
