Directed by Gautham Ramachandran starring Sai Pallavi, Gargi is all set to hit the big screens this Friday. The film, which released in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, made headlines a few weeks back after Suriya’s production company 2D. Entertainment Private Limited acquired Tamil Nadu distribution rights.
The trailer of the film, which was released recently, garnered positive response from critics and film watchers alike. The plot revolves around a high school teacher who suffers the blow of her life when she learns that her father has been arrested. The rest of the story is about how she fights the legal battle against all odds.
Actor-distributor-politician Udayanidhi has praised the film on Twitter, saying that Gargi is one of the best films to come out this year. All parents and children should see this. Furthermore, Udayanidhi praised Gargi at the Nenjuku Nidhi event on the 50th day of the previous outing, which was held a day earlier. He said, “Gargi is one of the most beautiful films I have seen in recent times. I came to know that Suriya and Jyothika have got the distribution rights of the film. People should support such good films. It is up to the directors and producers. Coming up with a more content-oriented script will help.”

Udayanidhi first took to Twitter to express his views on Kamal Haasan’s Vikram. The film got a huge success. It remains to be seen if Gargi gets the same success.
