Mumbai: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places in Mumbai, Thane and Palghar region till September 10.
The IMD has issued an orange alert in Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri districts. Maharashtra for the next three days.
Nashik, Pune, Satara, Aurangabad, Jalna, Parbhani, Beed, Hingli, Nanded and Kolhapur districts have been put on orange alert with heavy to very heavy rain forecast at isolated places on Tuesday.
Fishermen have been banned from venturing into the sea and other water bodies.

The city of Mumbai has received 4.41 mm of rain in the last 24 hours that ended at 8 am on Tuesday. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), 5.16 mm of rain was recorded in the eastern suburbs and 5.51 mm in the western suburbs.
Meanwhile, a high tide of 4.48 meters is expected in Mumbai on Tuesday at 12:16 pm.
