Mumbai Police registers FIR against Javed Akhtar for his alleged remarks against RSS

New Delhi: Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar has landed in trouble for his recent remarks on Taliban and RSS. Earlier BJP leaders had demanded an apology from the lyricist with folded hands, but now Mumbai Police has registered a case against Javed Akhtar for his remarks on RSS and Taliban.

A PTI report said, “Mumbai Police has registered an FIR against lyricist Javed Akhtar for his alleged remarks against the RSS.”

Javed Akhtar, while giving an interview to NDTV, said, “Like the Taliban want an Islamic State, the Hindus want a nation. These people are of the same mentality – be it Muslim, Christian, Jew or Hindu.” He said, “Of course, Taliban is barbaric, and their actions are condemnable, but all those who support RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal are alike. Huh.”

At the same time, BJP spokesperson and Maharashtra MLA Ram Kadam slammed Javed Akhtar and said that his films will not be allowed to be screened in the country until he apologizes for his statement comparing RSS and VHP to Taliban. Will go

Ram Kadam also posted a video on Twitter saying, “Before making this comment, he should have thought that people with the same ideology are now running the government and fulfilling Raj Dharma. If his ideology was Talibani, So would he have been able to make these remarks? This shows how hollow his statements are. But by making such remarks he has hurt the sentiments of RSS workers working with poor people in the country. If he does not apologize to them If so, we will not allow his films to run in this country.”

On a related note, Javed Akhtar is also in a legal battle against Kangana Ranaut as he filed a defamation case against the actress.
