Mumbai: A police constable attached to Local Arms (LA-4) Mumbai Police On marol ended his life by hanging from own roof Plaster police quarters Santa Cruz (East).
The scene of the incident was seen on Monday when the neighbor entered the room of the deceased Nikhil More (30) with a duplicate key and found him hanging. The Vakola police probing the case did not find any suicide note nor the reason behind More’s action. He also reported to work a day before taking this extreme step.
More was living with his wife in the police quarters. Two days ago his wife has gone to her maternal home and when More took this step, he was alone in the house.
More’s wife asked her neighbor to inquire about her well being as he was not answering her phone. She also asked him to feed the fish kept in the fish tank. After entering the house the neighbor called the police and found that he was hanging further. He was taken to the hospital where he was declared brought dead before admission,” the police said.
Mumbai Police spokesperson, DCP S Chaitanya said the incident has been reported under the jurisdiction of Vakola police station. Constable More posted in LA-4 Marol committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling on Monday afternoon. The reason is still unknown.
