Mumbai Local Train Updates: There will be night block in the western zone of Indian Railways today

Mumbai Jumbo Block: For maintenance work of tracks, signaling and overhead equipment, a jumbo block will be taken up by Western Railway from 23:30 hrs to 03:00 hrs on UP fast lines and 01:15 hrs to 04 hrs on DN fast lines: 9 Between Vasai Road and Bhayandar stations at 45 hrs at midnight of Apr/10. However, there will be no day time block on Western Railway suburban section on Sundays.

According to the press release issued by Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, some suburban trains will remain canceled due to block. “Detailed information in this regard is available with the station masters concerned,” the release said.

Meanwhile, the Central Railway (CR) will operate a mega block on its Harbor Line for various engineering and maintenance works on Sunday, April 10. During the block period, Indian Railways will run special local trains on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai-Vashi section. It will also carry out a special traffic block for laying of switch points, connection of cross over points and OHE work between Diva and Kalyan stations on Sunday.
