Central Railway (CR) will operate a 10-hour special traffic and power block between Kalwa-Mumbra Up slow line from 8 AM to 6 PM on Sunday, 26 September. CR said in a release that the block is being done for the construction work of the fifth and sixth railway lines between Diva and Thane stations. “Some suburban services will be canceled but special services will run for the benefit of passengers,” the release said. It further added that the CR has asked the Maharashtra government officials to make arrangements for buses for the convenience of the passengers traveling in the block affected areas.
Here’s what you need to know before planning to travel by Mumbai local trains on Sunday:
- Up slow/semi fast services leaving Kalyan from 7.27 am to 5.40 pm will be diverted on Up fast line between Diva and Mulund stations, then redirected to Mulund and will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule.
- All locals leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus between 8 am to 5 pm and arriving at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus between 9 am to 7 pm will arrive at their destination 10 minutes behind schedule.
- The last local before the block for Diva to Kalwa and Mumbra stations will leave at 7.38 am.
- The first local after the block from Diva to Kalwa and Mumbra stations will leave at 6.02 pm.
