Abu Dhabi: Captain Rohit Sharma Wrote the following an emotional note on Saturday Mumbai Indianslast match in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.
Mumbai Indians beat their IPL 2021 campaign to end on a high Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 42 runs on Friday.
Mumbai Indians, who won the 2019 and 2020 editions of the IPL, finished fifth in the current season.
“A season full of ups and downs and learnings. But these 14 matches will not take away the glory this incredible group has achieved in the last 2-3 seasons. Each player who donned the blue and gold played with pride and gave their best. And That’s what makes us the team we are! One family @mipaltan,” tweeted Rohit Sharma.

Coming back to Friday’s game, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav scored 84 and 82 runs respectively to set up Mumbai Indians’ victory.
Chasing 236, SRH went out of the block as the opening pair of Jason Roy and Abhishek Sharma shared a 64-run stand. However, Mumbai Indians managed to strike in the powerplay because Trent Boult Roy was dismissed for 34.
SRH lost three more wickets for 36 runs as Jimmy Neesham and Piyush Chawla performed poorly, dismissing Abhishek, Mohammad Nabi and Abdul Samad.
Priyam Garg and SRH stand-in captain Manish Pandey put on 56 runs before Garg was dismissed. Where Manish, who had to deal with a cramp, scored a brilliant half-century early in the captaincy, Mumbai Indians restricted SRH to 193/8.
