In the latest update of the case, the team of Mumbai Crime Branch has reached the house of actress Shilpa Shetty to raid. Raj Kundra in police custody till July 27. Raj Kundra, on the other hand, has also approached the Bombay High Court seeking to invoke the vested jurisdiction of the HC to grant relief from illegal arrest in complete violation of the mandate of Section 41A of CrPC.

In a statement, the Mumbai Police Commissioner said that there is strong evidence against Raj Kundra, who is the “principal conspirator” in the case. “In February 2021, a case was registered with Crime Branch Mumbai for making obscene films and publishing them through certain apps. We have arrested Mr. Raj Kundra on 19/7/21 in this case as he seems to be the main conspirator. We have sufficient evidence in this regard,” read the statement.
