Two men arrested for allegedly harassing a South Korean vlogger and YouTuber during live streaming on a street in the metropolis’s Khar were on Tuesday granted bail by a court here.

A Mumbai court has granted bail to two men arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a South Korean vlogger and YouTuber while she was live streaming on a street in the city’s Khar area.

Their lawyer Zameer Khan said the Bandra Metropolitan Court on Tuesday granted bail to the two on a cash bond of Rs 15,000 each and directed them to cooperate with the investigation. The detailed order was not yet available.

The two were arrested last week hours after a video surfaced on social media, showing them sexually assaulting Korean vlogger Hyojeong Park in Mumbai’s Khar area.

It can be seen in the video that a young man comes close to the vlogger and tries to pull her by holding her hand even when she resists. As the woman started walking away from the scene, the man again came on a motorcycle with a friend and offered her a lift, which she declined.

Police took cognizance of the incident and registered an FIR after receiving the video on their Twitter handle. The two, aged 19 and 21, were arrested from nearby Bandra.

The accused have been booked under Indian Penal Code section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty).
