The Juhu unit of Mumbai ATS (Anti-Terrorist Squad) on Tuesday arrested a wanted drug smuggler Niranjan Shah from Munirka in Delhi, where he was living as a poor man in a room rented in someone else’s name. Yes, an official said.

It was learned that Shah was in the records of various police stations in Mumbai, Delhi, Anti-Narcotics Cell, Mumbai, NCB New Delhi and DRI. The Maharashtra ATS said that he was an aide of the late infamous Harshad Mehta, who was the main accused in the big shares scam of the 90s.

The accused Shah was evading arrest by repeatedly changing his whereabouts in different states – Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, UP, Telangana and Karnataka. He was constantly changing his look too… He has been sent to ATS custody till August 25.
