Multiple FIRs against TMC MP Mahua Moitra over ‘smoking black’ remark; ED raids 44 Vivo centers; More

Trouble has landed for Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra as several FIRs have been registered against her for her remarks on Goddess Kali. An FIR has been registered in several parts of the state against Mahua Moitra for “insulting” Goddess Kali.

Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on July 5 conducted raids at 44 manufacturing and operating sites of Vivo and its dealers across the country. The raids were conducted under sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in several states. Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Meghalaya and Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, Vivo directors Zhengshen Ou and Zhang Ji have fled India after the ED intensified its probe in a money laundering case against the Chinese smartphone maker.
