Marathi actor Mukta Barve carved a niche for his plays as well as films. Mukta’s strong acting has impressed the audience in projects like Ajunahi Barsaat Aahe, Rangbhoomi, Devi and others. She will soon be seen working in the play Priya Bhai Ek Kavita Havi Aahe.
Mukta wrote in an Instagram post that she is happy to be back on stage after a break of five years. According to Mukta, it was the amalgamation of a spirited team, great script and interesting subject matter that inspired him to do this drama. Mukta wrote that the play will narrate a real incident from the lives of writers Sunita Deshpande and Purushottam Laxman Deshpande.
Mukta said that she is leaving no stone unturned to prepare for the play. He told his fans that the first show of the play will take place on June 11. The second show will be held on June 19 at Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagriha, Pune. The show timings will be at 1 pm, Mukta concluded by writing that soon the sale of tickets will start in theatres.
Along with the post, Mukta attached a picture of herself in a saree, narrating the drama. The play Priya Bhai Ek Kavita Hawi Aahe has been written by Dr. Sameer Kulkarni. It is directed by Amit Waje.
Mukta’s colleagues and fans flooded the comment section with lots of praise and congratulatory messages. Film producer and composer Salil Kulkarni and actor Sandeep Pathak Neena Kulkarni congratulated Mukta. Actors Swapnil Joshi and Akshay Gurav also extended heartfelt congratulations. Others were happy that Mukta is back on stage after a very long time.
Apart from the play Priya Bhai Ek Kavita Hawi Aahe, she is working on a film titled Mukta Vai. Recently, its teaser was released. In the short clip, Mukta wakes up and sees a dog growling at her. Mukta gets scared beyond words and the teaser ends leaving the audience to speculate further.
