MS Dhoni hits massive sixes in CSK practice session ahead of IPL 2021 resumption

MS Dhoni is practicing hitting monster sixes during the training session of his franchise Chennai Super Kings.

M S Dhoni Chennai Super Kings has been using the long handle effectively during their practice session. And if a recent clip of Dhoni shared by CSK on social media is any indication, his fans are in for a treat as the captain is hitting monster sixes during the net session and looks in good touch ahead. Dhoni now only plays competitive cricket for CSK in the IPL and hence he will be keen to return to what has made him one of the finest players India has ever produced. He was last seen in action when the league was held in India, but was suddenly suspended due to Covid violations inside the bubble of various teams.

After leading CSK, Dhoni will guide the Indian cricket team in the T20 World Cup.

CSK faced a tough time last season when the IPL was held entirely in the UAE, with the franchise finishing second to last in the standings – their worst performance in a season so far. However, the first half of the IPL saw them bounce back and they seem to be back at their best, winning five of their seven matches to grab the second spot.

“It is a unique challenge to split the tournament in half. So, we just want to start well again, but also want to remember the work that was taken to get a little bit of form and get those wins. It’s all about mindset, people coming together and almost treating it like a fresh start for another tournament,” said CSK head coach Stephen Fleming CSK TV.

CSK resumed their campaign for a fourth IPL title when they take on two-time defending champions Mumbai Indians on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. These two teams have faced each other once before this year, with MI winning by four wickets.
