Babulal Dailwar, who claims to be associated with a political party on Facebook, was booked on December 23 on a complaint by an office-bearer of Sakal Brahmin Sabha Samaj.

A man has been arrested for allegedly making objectionable comments about ‘Bharat Mata’ on social media and threatening to burn ‘Manusmriti’ (a Hindu text on social laws) in Madhya Pradesh’s Ashok Nagar. A police officer gave this information on Sunday.

He said a case was registered on December 23 against Babulal Dailwar, who claims to be associated with a political party on Facebook, on the complaint of an office-bearer of the Sakal Brahmin Sabha Samaj.

Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Patel said, “The man made derogatory remarks about Bharat Mata and also announced to burn Manusmriti at an event on December 25.”

Ashok Nagar Dehat SHO Rohit Dubey said that based on the complaint against his Facebook comments, Dilwar has been booked under sections 153A, 295A and 505(2) of the Indian Penal Code for promoting enmity between groups, hurting religious sentiments. and was arrested for other crimes.
